Social Commentary-heavy movies
From Sci-Fi to Historical Epics, there are stories that are more contemplative and introspective while delivering the best of wrappers in terms of characterization, setting and story. Best Example: "They Live (1988)", what outside seems like a sci-fi movie where aliens have taken over the world is really a social commentary of the 80s, the consumeristic revolution the Reaganomics began and the division of classes. Another great example: The Matrix. Need I say more?
