Gorden Kaye was born on 7 April 1941 in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England, UK. He was an actor, known for 'Allo 'Allo! (1982), Brazil (1985) and Born and Bred (1978). He died on 23 January 2017 in Knaresborough, Yorkshire, England, UK.Rene Artois is an absolutely hilarious character, his style/dress sense is great and he's very popular with the women such as Yvette and Maria, Mimi etc. Whenever the pubs not open and he's cleaning and someone knocks on the door he always says "oh no not Michelle" because he finds Michelle from the resistance a big nuisance and annoyance and reacts the same way when Crabtree knocks on the door, saying "Oh God not Crabtree". Rene's also fully aware of Lieutenant Gruber's infatuation with him, he's able to accept and put up with it, is not infatuated with Gruber but manages to greet him well when he arrives at Rene's cafe. Rene also loves beautiful Yvette and not Edith and also Yvette really loves him and doesn't let men flirt with her like the way Edith accepts the way and lets Monsieur Alfonse flirts with Edith. Rene is also very firm on Edith and when guests have turned up to his pub he has raised his voice and very firmly said "No!!!" because he knows everyone including himself hates Edith's singing and her awful voice. Rene also makes me crack up laughing a lot with tears coming out of my eyes(not crying) because Gorden Kayes acting as him is absolutely brilliant and he definitely is one of my best and favourite characters in the absolutely hilarious sitcom 'Allo Allo'.- Actor

Kim Hartman was born on 11 January 1952 in Hammersmith, London, England, UK. She is an actress, known for 'Allo 'Allo! (1982), Dunkirk (2017) and Grange Hill (1978). She has been married to John Nolan since 1975. They have two children.Helga is a woman who works for Herr Flick. Helga was secretly seeing Herr flick, but when he said something to her he didn't like she stood up to him like a firm, strong and proud woman and threw a bottle of water at him, which was great and made me crack up laughing. She doesn't intimidate or try to intimidate the others such as Rene, Yvette, Maria etc and definitely isn't intimidating. She also is an absolutely hilarious character who really makes me crack up laughing a lot with tears coming out of my eyes. Kim Hartmans acting as her is absolutely brilliant and she definitely is one of my best and favourite characters in the absolutely hilarious sitcom 'Allo Allo'.- Actor

Guy is known the world over for his portrayal of Lieutenant Gruber, one of the original and enduring characters of over 90 episodes of 'Allo 'Allo! which is one of the most successful comedy series the B.B.C. has ever produced and is still shown in more than 80 countries.
Guy was born in Manhattan to an American father and an English mother. He was educated in England and trained for the stage at the Webber Douglas Academy in London where he won the Rodney Millington Award for his performance as The Emcee in Cabaret. In a career of some 50 years he has become a household name in the U.K. both in theatre and television. In recent years he has spent much of his time working in the film industry in Los Angeles but is now based in London where he juggles two careers - actor and writer/producer. With his producing partner David Mansell he runs Einstein Films, with several movies in development.
Guy made his first London appearance in the highly acclaimed Cowardy Custard at the Mermaid Theatre. Other London credits include Off the Peg, Nickleby and Me, Toad of Toad Hall, The Frogs, Wealth, The Biograph Girl and Don't Dress for Dinner. He has also appeared several times in cabaret at The Ritz. He has worked with many of the leading English repertory companies including Coventry, Leicester, Brighton, Windsor, Oxford and The Bristol Old Vic, and did six major tours with Jonathan Lynn's Cambridge Theatre Company in a repertoire mainly of the classics including The Master Builder, The Relapse, An Inspector Calls and Uncle Vanya. He twice toured Australia with the stage show of 'Allo 'Allo which also enjoyed a record-breaking U.K. tour and long West End runs both at the Prince of Wales and the London Palladium.
Television work in London includes: I Claudius, Dr. Who, Life at Stake, Z Cars, Softly Softly, The Secret Army, You Rang M'Lord?, The Brittas Empire, Doctors and of course 'Allo 'Allo! In LA: Seinfeld, Martial Law, Diagnosis Murder (with Dick van Dyke), Zoe, Babylon 5, When Billie Beat Bobbie (with Holly Hunter and Goldie Hawn), That's My Bush (with the writers of South Park), The Agency and Startrek: Enterprise.
Guy's experience and contacts in all aspects of film-making are widespread. Movies include: The Disappearance of Kevin Johnson, Great Harry and Jane, Lost Highway (written and directed by David Lynch), Leprechaun 4, Bug, Return to the Secret Garden, The Second Front (with Todd Field), Megiddo (with Michael York), Vlad (with Billy Zane), Provoked, The Loss Adjuster (with Luke Goss) and Pirates of the Caribbean (with Johnny Depp).Lieutenant Gruber is also an absolutely hilarious character. He gets on very well with Rene who he is absolutely infatuated with which Rene knows very well and is fully aware of and some of the others gets a bit intimidated when the Germans and Herr Flick arrive. He did an absolutely brilliant impression of Edith's mother Fanny in an episode which was hilarious made me crack up laughing. He also makes me crack up a lot with tears coming out of eyes because Guy Siners acting as him is absolutely brilliant and he definitely is one of my best and favourite characters in the absolutely hilarious sitcom 'Allo Allo'.- Actor

After that he became an assistant to the Russian tenor Vladimir Rosing at Covent Garden. Later he joined the RAF and after being invalided out he turned into Richard Marner and started his long career as a stage and film actor.
His first success was a title role in a stage version of Dracula where he made a memorable performance. He went on with his work in theatre but he started appearing in films as well. In the 1980s Marner played the part of Colonel Von Strohm in the British comedy classic "Allo Allo" which was his most famous and loved performance as an actor. His last film was The Sum of All Fears where he played the Russian president.Colonel Von Strohm is an absolutely hilarious character. He and Lt Gruber make me crack up laughing because they are both very funny. Colonel Von Strohm is able to negotiate with Rene when dealing with serious issues. He also is one of my best and favourite characters.
