- DirectorJoseph BarberaWilliam HannaRudolf IsingStarsSara BernerFrank BingmanMel BlancThe geese are flying south all except for the runty one that's the focus of this cartoon. He tries hitchhiking, but since nobody picks him up (though one car stops and gives him a double-talk explanation), he walks. This gives us the chance to see a number of regional gags: a hillbilly father tells his son to work, and the son asks why?; the long arm of the law (literally) goes after a moonshiner; the goose eats a watermelon, and is chased off by the farmer; two Southern gentlemen cordially tilt the pinball table. Meanwhile, the doubletalking car stops a few more times, the last of them on a dock; it drives off the dock, and the goose says he can't rescue the driver, complete with the same kind of double-talk explanation.Sebastian : Meadow

- DirectorRuth FitzPatrickStarsJames A. FitzPatrickFour million ethnic French, German and Italian people live in the European country of Switzerland - the oldest existing republic in the world - which is known for its friendly nature, neutrality and spectacular scenery. The Alps form a large part of that scenery, but the Alps also played an important part in the country's history by stopping invading Roman armies. An abundance of vividly colored alpine wildflowers cover the mountain meadows in the spring. The mountain pastures are seen as community property, available for all farmers to use for animal grazing. In size contrast to the tiny wildflowers, the rushing mountain streams are fed by melting snows. Alpine chalets are colorfully and intricately painted, especially around the windows. Switzerland is known for the manufacture of fine watches and clocks, but they also are known for the manufacture of more traditional items: wood carvings. Some of the main cities are Lucerne, a tourist mecca renowned for its covered wooden bridges and lion monument; Interlaken, a resort town; and Geneva, a center of international finance, the headquarters of the League of Nations and the city where the Red Cross was founded, its name and logo taken from a "reversal" of the Swiss national flag.

- DirectorDel LordStarsMoe HowardLarry FineCurly HowardThe Stooges arrive in Hollywood hoping to make it in the movie business ("There must be a couple a hundred guys in Hollywood who don't know anything about making movies, three more ain't gonna make any difference".) They sneak into a movie studio where they are mistaken for three new executives who were due to arrive. After taking over production of a movie, causing the director and cast to walk off, Moe takes over as director, with Larry and Curley as the leading man and lady. When the real executives send a telegram explaining why they haven't arrived, the Stooges must leave on the run.

Posted to the desert, their assignment is to guard captain Gorgonzola from the natives. Curly plays a gorilla and Moe and Larry are primitive natives. On location in Africa, the stooges have a confrontation with a witch doctor from whom Curly buys some "love candy" with hopes of attracting the films leading lady. - DirectorDereck JoubertStarsJeremy IronsFifty years ago there were close to half-a-million lions in Africa. Today there are around 20,000. To make matters worse, lions, unlike elephants, which are far more numerous, have virtually no protection under government mandate or through international accords. This is the jumping-off point for a disturbing, well-researched and beautifully made cri de coeur from husband and wife team Dereck and Beverly Joubert, award-winning filmmakers from Botswana who have been Explorers-in-Residence at National Geographic for more than four years. Pointing to poaching as a primary threat while noting the lion's pride of place on the list for eco-tourists-an industry that brings in 200 billion dollars per year worldwide-the Jouberts build a solid case for both the moral duty we have to protect lions (as well as other threatened "big cats," tigers among them) and the economic sense such protection would make. And when one takes into account the fact that big cats are at the very top of the food chain-and that their elimination would wreak havoc on all species below them, causing a complete ecosystem collapse-the need takes on a supreme urgency.
