- StarsKim You-JinLee Da-heeYong Woo LeeSung Mi Soo (Uee) grows up in a poor but cheerful household and becomes interested in golf when she sees a TV broadcast of the real life LPGA Hall of Fame golfer Pak Se-ri's miraculous shot from the water at the 18th hole of the 1998 U.S. Women's Open to stay in the playoff (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKRYSCo1d9I at 1h22m) which she then won with a 20 foot birdie on the 20th playoff hole. Mi-soo then finds a golf club that belongs to her mother, Jo Kyung-sook (Yoon Yoo-sun), a former caddie. Min Hae-ryung (Lee Da-hee) grows up being trained to be a champion golfer by her strict single mother, Min Se-hwa (Oh Hyun-kyung), the President and owner of a prestigious golf club, with whom she clashes repeatedly because her mother refuses to tell her about her father. The story follows their progress, in golf and in life, as they fall under the influence of former professional golfer John Lee (Lee Yong-woo). Mi-soo struggles at first. Her family has little money. She enters a tournament and, with the help of her exceptional distance ability, leads after the first day, only to have her game fall apart when she tries to play out of a thick forest instead of taking a drop. But her talent gets recognized and she ends up being taught by the Master, an unconventional Svengali, a Korean-speaking foreigner known as "Fabian", played by Robert Holley, who teaches her critical skills not on a golf course but at the top of a mountain where he lives. Hae-ryung has success, with a shorter but highly accurate game. She eventually meets her father, Woo Joon-mo (Kim Jong-Jin), a successful greens keeper who has returned from abroad and comes to work at the club (although at first, Hae-ryung's mother does not realize that it is him because he is using his western name, Stephen Woo). Her father teaches her to read a green by walking it with bare feet and this serves her well at a critical point. She leads a tournament and then deliberately implodes on the final green to protest her mother's behavior and announce publicly that she has found her father. Mi-soo's father ends up signing on as a sailor on a cargo ship, where he gets injured and (temporarily) loses his memory and begins to behave erratically. Mi-soo feels guilty for his feeling compelled to take on this dangerous work. Her mother takes a job in the kitchen of the golf club, where she meets and eventually befriends President Min, who leans on her for advice on how to develop the warm relationship with her daughter that she had never had. John Lee guides both young women to success in golf, including both being nominated as rookies of the year (which Mi-soo wins although she does not attend the ceremony). All this is complicated by the machinations of master sports gambler Jae Park (Choi Il-hwa) that must be defeated but not before Park's henchmen murder the Master. A highlight is an unconventional private match between Mi-soo and a male ringer, promoted by Park. Mi-soo wins the match with a miracle shot, known as the "Fabian", in which she hits a ball from the bottom of the cliff and causes it to slice back on to the top of the cliff, from which position she chips in. A love triangle develops between the three leads, with Hae-ryung trying to force the issue, since she had been John Lee's first love. After Park's defeat, aided by the betrayal of his top aide, the final episodes switch from golf to the resolution of Hae-ryung's relationship with her mother as well as the romance among the three leads and also wrap up the romantic affairs of Hae-ryung's mother, who is having an affair with her right hand man, Danny Choi (Park Sung-woong) and Mi-soo's brother, who is in love with Mi-soo's best friend Lee Gong-sook (Yoo In-na), both of whom work at the golf club. During the course of these events, John Lee gets seriously injured in a car accident while driving Mi-soo back from the airport, from which she was about to leave the country to get away from what she found to be an intolerable situation. After getting out of hospital, he hides away to disguise from the two women that he can no longer walk properly. Eventually, Mi-soo finds him and, sacrificing her feelings, gets him back together with Hae-ryung.

- StarsChae RimChoi SiwonHyun-Woo LeeSeries Outline: Sung Min Woo is the top male star in Korea due to his good looks and singing talent. Ambitious, he moved into TV dramas which he helps with his star power and hinders with his terrible acting. He also has an exploitative, unethical manager. Yoon Gae Hwa is a housewife divorced from a rich husband who needs to earn enough money to keep her daughter in her custody while her ex-husband's new wife doesn't want the daughter of a previous wife around. Gae Hwa's sole prior work experience is 6 months as a reporter for a weekly scandal rag. Her first jobs shown in the series are unsuccessful but include 1 day as housekeeper for Sung Min Woo where a babysitting emergency forces her to leave early, infuriating Sung Min Woo. Shortly afterwards, she finds another job at a musical production company, learns a secret about Sung Min Woo, and convinces him to work on the agency's musical, and becomes Min Woo's handler for that agency as it prepares to put on a musical starring Min Woo (if he ever improves as an actor). Handling Min Woo is no easy task due to their mutual antagonism, spurred by Min Woo's immaturity. Min Woo grows up as he faces the challenges of caring for his unexpected 5-year-old daughter Ye Eun, the result of an affair several years earlier, and by Gae Hwa's example in caring for the otherwise unprotected Ye Eun. Min Woo gains maturity very quickly as he learns to accept and love his daughter and becomes something unexpected - a good actor. The romance also ends satisfyingly - but I'm not telling that part of the ending.
