THE dress Giselle wore is so beautiful.

- DirectorColin HigginsStarsJane FondaLily TomlinDolly PartonThree female employees of a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot find a way to turn the tables on him.a fun movie, with lots of giggles with the situations the girls get into - but they triumph in the end. Dolly Lily and Jane are great, along with Dabney Coleman ! I also like Henry Jones (he was in Lost in Space). The song 9 to 5 is also a classic.

- DirectorBilly WilderStarsWilliam HoldenGloria SwansonErich von StroheimA screenwriter develops a dangerous relationship with a faded film star determined to make a triumphant return. The first movie I've seen with Gloria Swanson - she was excellent. Very impressed with her portrayal of "Norma Desmond".
- DirectorAlfred J. GouldingStarsStan LaurelOliver HardyForrester HarveyAs a reward for capturing a bank robber, Stan and Ollie get scholarships to Oxford, but are met with resentment by other students.A fun Laurel & Hardy movie; I watched the 1 hour 2 mins version - basically 3 shorts stitched together to make a movie. I found a good quality B/W on youtube. The ending really made me laugh.
- DirectorGeorge CukorStarsAudrey HepburnRex HarrisonStanley HollowayIn 1910s London, snobbish phonetics professor Henry Higgins agrees to a wager that he can make crude flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, presentable in high society. At nearly 3 hours its quite long, has an Intermission. I think the dubbing of Audrey's voice was unnecessary, the parts she sang were excellent, and it would have felt more in keeping with the story, if they hadn't used a professional singer. Heck, Rex Harrison got to "sing".
Audrey did an amazing cockney accent.
The ending though wasn't great. A bit up in the air.
All in all it was a great story, well acted, and the costumes were awesome. A fun/must see movie for your bucket list.
