R.I.P.: Top TV Character Deaths of 201410 of 10
Most Deserving Death: Oh, come on. Is there even a question as to who wins this prize? It's Joffrey Baratheon, played by Jack Gleeson.
Joffrey was simply the worst. He had his betrothed's pet wolf murdered. Then he had her father Ned Stark (Sean Bean) beheaded after promising he would pardon him. For sport Joffrey had entertainers maimed and shoots crossbow bolts into prostitutes; to make himself feel better, he publicly shamed his own uncle Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) time and again.
Taking all that and so much more into account, when he drank from a cup of poisoned wine and began spectacularly choking and foaming at the mouth, was it terrible to applaud and cheer? We don't think so. We felt good about doing that when we first watched that scene unfurl. Thanks to the joys of repeat viewing on demand, we can't wait to do it again.
