- DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsHarrison FordKaren AllenPaul FreemanIn 1936, archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones is hired by the U.S. government to find the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis can obtain its awesome powers.Am I the only one that loved Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? Yeah, it was flawed, I could have done without Jones Jr. swinging around in the trees, and there was some other goofy-ness to it, but overall it was totally inline with the other films. I would welcome a 5th installment (although I wish someone other than Lucas would write it), I would, however, like to see Spielberg back in the director's chair.
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - Allegedly on it's way! Can't wait! - DirectorGeorge LucasStarsMark HamillHarrison FordCarrie FisherLuke Skywalker joins forces with a Jedi Knight, a cocky pilot, a Wookiee and two droids to save the galaxy from the Empire's world-destroying battle station, while also attempting to rescue Princess Leia from the mysterious Darth Vader.I'd like to see more Star Wars films made. Perhaps a whole new story with all new characters (maybe some familiar faces) but in the same world. I think that would be cool!
UPDATE: It's happening....and many of the original actors are returning. OMG!
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - Well, we have Force Awakens and Rogue One under our belts, The Last Jedi comes out soon. Hoping for the best. - DirectorRobert WiseStarsWilliam ShatnerLeonard NimoyDeForest KelleyWhen an alien spacecraft of enormous power is spotted approaching Earth, Admiral James T. Kirk resumes command of the overhauled USS Enterprise in order to intercept it.I know there is already a sequel on the way. But I have to put this in here for good measure. I will always want more Star Treks, so keep 'em comin' !
UPDATE: Star Trek Into Darkness is out and released. It was excellent, although, I am ready for something new. Into Darkness was more of a remake of Wrath of Khan, so I want to see a NEW adventure for once! Bring on Star Trek 3!
UPDATE: Star Trek 3 is on the way!
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - Ok, let's see Star Trek 4 already! - DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsSam NeillLaura DernJeff GoldblumA pragmatic paleontologist touring an almost complete theme park on an island in Central America is tasked with protecting a couple of kids after a power failure causes the park's cloned dinosaurs to run loose.I want more dinos, enough said!
UPDATE: Just announced that "Jurassic World" is coming 2015! Here's to hoping it's awesome!
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - Jurassic World 2 / Jurassic Park 5 is on it's way! Cannot wait! - DirectorRob CohenStarsVin DieselPaul WalkerMichelle RodriguezLos Angeles police officer Brian O'Conner must decide where his loyalty really lies when he becomes enamored with the street racing world he has been sent undercover to end it.I loved part 1, liked part 2, dealt with part 3, loved 4, really loved part 5. Can't wait for a 6th installment!
UPDATE: Part 6 is already out and released! It was excellent! And definitely leads right into a 7th outing. It's in the works and gonna be awesome!
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - Interesting that in my last update I was looking forward to the 7th outing, since then Paul Walker has died and 7 was completed, even 8 has been made and released. Looking forward to 9 now. On the surface it seems that they should stop, but they are fun movies, so let's keep it going! - DirectorJames CameronStarsSam WorthingtonZoe SaldanaSigourney WeaverA paraplegic Marine dispatched to the moon Pandora on a unique mission becomes torn between following his orders and protecting the world he feels is his home.I know there are 2 more on the way, but who knows how long it's gonna be before we get them, so until then, this remains in the list.
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - Seems that there are 4 sequels on the way, still waiting for the 2nd one! Boooo! - DirectorJames CameronStarsArnold SchwarzeneggerLinda HamiltonMichael BiehnA human soldier is sent from 2029 to 1984 to stop an almost indestructible cyborg killing machine, sent from the same year, which has been programmed to execute a young woman whose unborn son is the key to humanity's future salvation. Some people balk at the thought of another Terminator, but I for one would throw down some money to go see it. All four films were awesome in my opinion, I'd be first in line to see another. I'd even be happy with McG or Mostow returning to direct.
UPDATE: Terminator: Genisys is on the way!
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - There are rumblings of another one coming, but it seems like a long way off. - DirectorJohn McTiernanStarsBruce WillisAlan RickmanBonnie BedeliaA New York City police officer tries to save his estranged wife and several others taken hostage by terrorists during a Christmas party at the Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles.Word on the street is that Die Hard 5 is in the making. I can't wait! I loved, Loved, LOVED "Live Free or Die Hard". Truly awesome!
Looking forward to "A Good Day To Die Hard"
Now that I've seen "A Good Day To Die Hard", it was good, but not fantastic. I'm holding out for at least one more Die Hard. Rumor has it that there will be one more. I hear a 6th installment will eventually happen, I'll believe it when I see it. - DirectorMartin BrestStarsEddie MurphyJudge ReinholdJohn AshtonA freewheeling Detroit cop pursuing a murder investigation finds himself dealing with the very different culture of Beverly Hills. Why hasn't a 4th one been made yet? This is one of Eddie Murphy's best roles and I think the public would welcome a 4th installment...or at least I would. Bring back Judge Reinhold, and we are in business!!!
UPDATE: Announced!!! It's on the way! - DirectorRidley ScottStarsSigourney WeaverTom SkerrittJohn HurtThe crew of a commercial spacecraft encounters a deadly lifeform after investigating a mysterious transmission of unknown origin.I loved all of the Alien movies, even the AVP movies. I want more, let's see some more!
Does Prometheus count? Not exactly a sequel, but it was an excellent prequel to the entire Alien mythology. Now if we could just get another installment.
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - We just got Alien: Covenant, which ok, but nothing special. I am hoping for more, but after the lack-of-success on this last one, I am not so sure.
UPDATE: Promethus was definitely a prequel to Alien and an excellent movie. I hope they do either a sequel to Prometheus or another Alien film of some sort...even another AVP movie would make me happy! - DirectorJohn McTiernanStarsArnold SchwarzeneggerCarl WeathersKevin Peter HallA team of commandos on a mission in a Central American jungle find themselves hunted by an extraterrestrial warrior. It's hard to believe there are now 5 Predator movies, but I really enjoyed them all, and was very pleasantly surprised with the most recent incarnation. I'm totally down for another one. They certainly left "Predators" open for a new one.
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - Predator 4 is on it's way, aka "The Predator" Cannot wait! - DirectorMichael BayStarsWill SmithMartin LawrenceLisa BoyleTwo hip detectives protect a witness to a murder while investigating a case of stolen heroin from the evidence storage room from their police precinct.Maybe if Michael Bay is done with Transformers, we can see a third installment to Bad Boys. That would be awesome! I keep hearing this will happen...I'll believe it when I see it!
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - Supposedly Bad Boys for Life (BB3) is on the way, and then a 4th entry. Whoa! Nice! - DirectorPaul W.S. AndersonStarsMilla JovovichMichelle RodriguezRyan McCluskeyA special military unit fights a powerful, out-of-control supercomputer and hundreds of scientists who have mutated into flesh-eating creatures after a laboratory accident.I don't know what it is about this series, as I am usually not a fan of zombie-type movies...but these films are just too much fun...and I think it's what Paul Anderson is good at, so he should keep doing 'em. They are fun and enjoyable. I welcome some more zombie/monster killing action.
Looking forward to Resident Evil: Retribution!
UPDATE: Retribution is out and released, I hear there is a part 6 on the way. Looking forward to it. This series is a guilty pleasure of mine for sure!
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - We just got a 6th installment, but I haven't seen it yet. I'll see it soon, I hope! - DirectorJohn McTiernanStarsSean ConneryAlec BaldwinScott GlennIn November 1984, the Soviet Union's best submarine captain violates orders and heads for the U.S. in a new undetectable sub. The American CIA and military must quickly determine: Is he trying to defect or to start a war?Why has it taken so long to get another Tom Clancy "Jack Ryan" movie made? Hunt for Red October was amazing, Patriot Games was fantastic, Clear and Present Danger was equally awesome and Sum of All Fears was surprisingly good. Maybe we can get Harrison Ford to come back for a newer version, I'd be in line to see it for sure!
UPDATE: There is currently a reboot on the way, with Chris Pine in the lead. No poster or trailer yet, but it's due out this year (2013)...hopefully it'll be good!
UPDATE: Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is released. However, it was somewhat of a let down, both story and at the box office. It was good, but not great. I doubt a direct sequel to Shadow Recruit will happen, but it could be good. Honestly, I'd rather see Ford back in the role. - DirectorLen WisemanStarsKate BeckinsaleScott SpeedmanShane BrollySelene, a vampire warrior, is entrenched in a conflict between vampires and werewolves, while falling in love with Michael, a human who is sought by werewolves for unknown reasons.I thought the series was dead after part 3 was released. But part 4 (Awakening) was surprisingly good, so I'm all about seeing another one. Hopefully they can get Scott Speedman back for part 5.
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - We just got Blood Wars, which was enjoyable, but perhaps we need to be done now? - DirectorGore VerbinskiStarsJohnny DeppGeoffrey RushOrlando BloomBlacksmith Will Turner teams up with eccentric pirate "Captain" Jack Sparrow to save Elizabeth Swann, the governor's daughter and his love, from Jack's former pirate allies, who are now undead.Love Jack Sparrow. I'd be happy to see another 10 of these films. Part 4 was great, not as good as the original, but still a great movie. Part 5 is allegedly already in the works (Dead Men Tell No Tales), so let's hope this ship sails. :)
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - Dead Men Tell No Tales is out and released! Loved it! I hope they do more! - DirectorGuillermo del ToroStarsIdris ElbaCharlie HunnamRinko KikuchiAs a war between humankind and monstrous sea creatures wages on, a former pilot and a trainee are paired up to drive a seemingly obsolete special weapon in a desperate effort to save the world from the apocalypse.Probably my favorite movie of 2013. A sequel is required!
UPDATE: Pacific Rim 2 is on the way. - DirectorMichael BayStarsShia LaBeoufMegan FoxJosh DuhamelAn ancient struggle between two Cybertronian races, the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons, comes to Earth, with a clue to the ultimate power held by a teenager. At the time of this list, Transformers 3 is still in the theaters, but that doesn't mean I can't ask for more. I'd be happy with Michael Bay staying on for a fourth, and I'd be happy with giving the reigns to some one else. Either way, I need more transforming robots.
Seems Michael Bay isn't quite done yet. More Transformers on the way!!!
UPDATE: Well, well, well. Looks like Transformers 4 is well on it's way and opens next year! Can't wait!
UPDATE: Transformers 5 on the way now? - DirectorJames CameronStarsArnold SchwarzeneggerJamie Lee CurtisTom ArnoldA fearless, globe-trotting, terrorist-battling secret agent has his life turned upside down when he discovers his wife might be having an affair with a used-car salesman while terrorists smuggle nuclear war heads into the United States. One of the few movies on this list that doesn't already have a sequel. I would be all over a new one, this was a great movie and I'd love to see Harry Tasker get into more action. Cameron is busy with Avatar these days, so this might not happen, but there is always hope.
- DirectorRichard DonnerStarsChristopher ReeveMargot KidderGene HackmanAn alien orphan is sent from his dying planet to Earth, where he grows up to become his adoptive home's first and greatest superhero.I know that Zack Snyder is already working on a reboot of the franchise, which I'm totally down with. So here's to hoping for a fantastic film!
UPDATE: "Man of Steel" is out and released! It was excellent! I can't wait for a sequel. And they have already announced that Batman will make an appearance in the next film! This could be epic!
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - This particular line of Superman is done with, but the Man of Steel line is alive and well, we are about to see Justice League released this year, then I hope another stand-alone Superman film later on. On can only hope! - DirectorChristopher NolanStarsChristian BaleMichael CaineKen WatanabeAfter witnessing his parents' death, Bruce learns the art of fighting to confront injustice. When he returns to Gotham as Batman, he must stop a secret society that intends to destroy the city.Dark Knight Rises is already on the way! Sweet! I hope they continue with more after that...somehow I don't think they will...I believe I read they were gonna reboot the series afterward, but we'll have to wait and see I guess.
UPDATE: TDKR is out and released, they definitely didn't leave it wide open for another sequel, but then again word on the street is that Batman will be making an appearance in the next Superman movie, so that's good news. Christian Bale is out though, and Ben Affleck is in. Odd choice, but let's see what he can do.
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - Looks like Nolan's Batman is done, but Affleck has taken the reigns and already has Batman Vs. Superman and cameo in Suicide Squad under his belt, Justice League is about to released too! - DirectorMartin CampbellStarsRyan ReynoldsBlake LivelyPeter SarsgaardReckless test pilot Hal Jordan is granted an alien ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers that inducts him into an intergalactic police force, the Green Lantern Corps.I really enjoyed this film. I'd be totally on board with another one. I really dug the directing too, so hopefully they can bring Martin Campbell back as well. Maybe a Justice League appearance?
- DirectorBryan SingerStarsPatrick StewartHugh JackmanIan McKellenIn a world where mutants (evolved super-powered humans) exist and are discriminated against, two groups form for an inevitable clash: the supremacist Brotherhood, and the pacifist X-Men.You can never have enough X-Men films. If I had my way, I'd assemble the original cast and make a sequel to part 3, and add in some Cable/Bishop stuff to modify time, so they can undo some of the weirdness in part 3. But I'd also be happy with a straight up sequel as well. ...Or a sequel to the stand-alone "Wolverine" film, or a sequel to the "X-Men: First Class" film. We just need some more X-Men movies for sure.
UPDATE: Well, maybe they read my post here. :) It seems that X-Men: Days of Future Past is on the way with Bryan Singer back in the Director's Chair. Music to my ears! Cannot Wait!!!
We also got The Wolverine this year too, which was excellent. I can only hope that there will be more X-Men down the road.
UPDATE: X-Men: Days of Future Past is out and released and it was excellent, they did exactly what I thought...there is apparently X-Men: Apocalypse on the way! Cannot wait! - DirectorSam RaimiStarsTobey MaguireKirsten DunstWillem DafoeAfter being bitten by a genetically-modified spider, a shy teenager gains spider-like abilities that he uses to fight injustice as a masked superhero and face a vengeful enemy. It'll never happen now, but I really wanted to see a continuation of the Sam Raimi Spider-man series. Oh well. I guess I can just hope for the best from the upcoming "Amazing Spider-man" reboot. Hopefully that will be sequel worthy.
UPDATE: Amazing Spider-man has long-since been out and released. It was good, but not fantastic and more of a rehash of the first Raimi Spiderman. A Sequel is already on the way and I'm really looking forward to this one, because we will be past the origin story and onto a new story with new villians. This could be really good!
UDPATE: Amazing Spider-man 2 is out and released. Part 3 is on it's way!
UPDATE [7/17/2017] - Just watched Spider-man: Homecoming, which was great. There will definitely be more spidey in the future. - DirectorStephen NorringtonStarsWesley SnipesStephen DorffKris KristoffersonA half-vampire, half-mortal man becomes a protector of the mortal race, while slaying evil vampires.Where is a Blade sequel? We need a part 4. Snipes has still got it!
