- In 1997, the Prix Futura Berlin, which had been launched in 1969, and the Prix Europa, which had been launched in 1987, were merged. Since then this event has been celebrated every year in the Berlin-Brandenburg region in Germany under the joint name Prix Europa open for television and radio programs.
