- In Paris, Ontario Philippe finds a tunnel that leads him to Paris, France where he creates a second, idealized French life away from his duties as a husband and father. But what happens when one life starts to impact the other?
- Zoe, a young Acadian woman, decides to head home to her mother in Prince Edward Island after a failed relationship on the West Coast. Out of money, she decides to hitchhike and to rely on the kindness of strangers to carry her across the country. The first person to offer her a couch to sleep on is Alex, a musically gifted francophone who moved to Vancouver a few years ago to work for a software company. Alex decides to leave his job and follow Zoe. A romantic who is convinced he's found his soul mate, Alex's love is challenged throughout the trip. From one couch to the next, from one city to the next, they learn to trust and draw strength from one another giving new meaning to their lives.

Music is the thread that connects Annie to Kinshasa and allows the family to share the love and the pain that can't be communicated through words. - Philippe is in Paris, France, and thinks he's dreaming. He's hailed as an unexpected hero having made Godot appear at the end of the play, Waiting for Godot.

- In trying to save the play, Philippe goes too far by giving sleeping pills to Jacquo and taking his place on stage. Jenny discovers the tunnel and disrupts the play.
- Having decided to come back to Canada, Philippe is confronted by the fact that Jenny wants nothing to do with him. Philippe doubles his efforts to win back the trust of his family.
