- Another in the Roach "streamliner" series of semi-westerns top-billing Jimmy Rogers (Jimmy) and Noah Beery, Jr. (Pidge) as out-of-work cowhands. This one is a showcase - in some instances too much so - for oft-times screen-drunk Jack Norton (Henry Lewis Clark III) who takes no drinks here but gets the same results from popping vitamin pills. Clark is coming West to take a look at his 35,000 acre ranch that only has 1500 head of cattle on it according to crooked ranch foreman Albertson, which is basically correct since Albertson and his henchmen have rustled the other 4,000 head. Albertson talks the town civic leaders, including hotel proprietor Jefferson Gilbert, into staging a three-day welcoming party for Clark to keep him away from the ranch while trucks are hauling off the cattle. Thanks to Clark's chauffeur Farnsworth, who gives the stranded Jimmy and Pidge a lift, Pidge is mistaken for Clark. Also enter a tour bus filled with the likes of Marjorie Woodworth, Rosemary LaPlance, Noel Neill, Nancy Brinckman and others who are guaranteed to dress up the scenery. The mistaken identity angle carries things for a while, and then all hands - Jimmy, Pidge, Clark, Farnsworth and the Bus girls - end up at Clark's "haunted" ranch house and are involved in a prolonged, mostly-unfunny, sequence where Albertson and crew are trying to scare them away.
- In the second of this series of "Streamliner" westerns from Hal Roach (preceded by "Dudes Are Pretty People" and followed by "Prairie Chickens"), wandering cowboys Pidge Crosby (Noah Beery Jr.) and Jimmy (Jimmy Rogers) take a job breaking horses for Tom Pendergrast (William Henry) at the railroad corral, and the horses stampede through town when Pidge, preoccupied as usual with chasing a girl, leaves the door open on the opposite side of the railroad car Jimmy is driving the horses into. When Pidge learns that the girl, Doris Lane (Mary Brian), he is chasing has a do-gooder heart and is fond of coddling prisoners in the jail ran by her uncle, Sheriff George Lane (William B. Davidson), he gets himself thrown into jail. The plan is working good until big-city gangster Sluggsy Baker (Marc Lawrence) is also jailed, and sends for his moll Gert (Iris Adrian), who he calls "Ma", to bring his henchmen and break him out. They also take along the unwilling Pidge. The horse stampede through town, wrangled by the likes of Bob Woodward and Kermit Maynard, is one of the better stagings of the genre, and even has a horse end up in the back seat of a convertible driven by Eddie Hall.
- In the first of the Roach Studio western "Streamliners" (followed by "Calaboose" and "Prairie Chickens') wandering cowboys Jimmy and Pidge are introduced as none-too-bright sons of the sage, with Jimmy's role primarily to keep Pidge out of girl trouble. They are afoot, as Pidge had figured that two-pair in a poker game was worth betting their horses on. After a stint of rounding up wild Brahmas for rancher Cardigan with bad results, Pidge becomes smitten with a guest, Marcia at a neighboring dude ranch and takes a job there to be near her. Jimmy follows in order to "save" Pidge, with most of the last half of the film devoted to a skit where Jimmy has blacked out the windows in the bunkhouse in order to make Pidge think it is still night to cause him to stand-up Marcia.
