Sunny proceeds to teach them how to "break down the walls of convention to free creativity"-or use their imaginations to give their songs feeling. Class ends a little too soon for Sunny, and he doesn't get to pass on the whole of his lesson. Principal Luna arrives and gives Sunny a literal mountain of paperwork to do, while another teacher informs Sunny of his duty-to direct the school's annual "Peanut Pageant". The pageant raises money for the school's budget, but Sunny is too swamped in his paperwork to do it! He enlists the aid of his students to run a separate area of the pageant-Tamika on dance, Philly Phil on special effects, etc. Each kid is eager to impart Sunny's lessons on feeling and emotion-but they forget to mix creativity with harmony, meaning that no one knows what the others are doing! This leads to performing elephants chasing peanut-costumed dancers and peanut-based paint being set aflame by high voltage wires. Thankfully, Sunny appears and gives the kids a much-needed lesson in harmony. By working together, the students are able to stop the disasters, put on an amazing pageant, and win the school some much-needed cash!

As they munch on the disgusting Sloppy Joes that come directly from the factory next to the nuclear waste refinement plant, the kids discover that nearly everything at the market is a pun- for example, a stand selling designer labels is just selling the labels! Sunny brightens up their day by bringing a box of his old junk to sell. The kids eagerly tear into his high-school yearbook, but Sunny acts suspicious. He drops a map that was contained in the book, leading the class to believe that Sunny is a pirate (they are helped in that conclusion by a series of funny coincidences). They follow the map and meet members of Sunny's 80's funk band, the Funkaneers. Eventually, the kids discover a secret room beneath their own classroom...and it contains a giant, monstrous blob! Sunny reveals the secret of the blob-it was created when he and his band accidentally mixed the Sloppy Joes and radioactive material in the basement where they practiced. The class tries to run, but Sunny points out that running just makes your problems bigger. Instead, the kids stand together and use the power of pure 80's funk to banish the evil blob, which turns it into a giant Sloppy Joe-which they sell for a hefty sum!
