It's an insight into the life of Christie Probert, one of the participants in the It's My Shout (2003) project, featuring the films of talented new writers and directors, as well as a cast of young people from higher education colleges throughout Wales. Christie, a Romany from Manorbier, auditions for a part in one of the films and begins a journey of self exploration. Unable to read or write before he was 20, he now discovers the means to express himself. It's a rare insight into the world of travellers living in a Pembrokeshire caravan park. In all, some 2,000 young people between the ages of eight and 25 take part in the initiative, performing in the productions and working with established technicians. The project is the brainchild of Roger Burnell, Bridgend council's director of theatre, culture and the arts. Roger believes the initiative has helped Christie to "establish a creative sense of purpose to his life."
