The three of them go hunting together, which results in a fight between Will and the Congressman when something horrible happens and Katherine's father is killed. Meanwhile, Carla and Jenna are at Samantha's house where they talk about Katherine and Will among other things. Carla and Peter are trying to have a child, after their recent elopement. However, while working at the hospital, Samantha receives some test results for Peter, which seem to say he has leukemia. Single father Aaron has to take care of 13-month-old Noelle and five-year-old Chloe and also cope with work. After a hectic day and many problems, he calls on one of his best friends to help him out: Jenna.
- In 1997, after Pascale left Aaron, it seems Jenna moved in to help take care of Chloe and Noelle. When Pascale comes back and wants custody, a court battle ensues. During the trial, it becomes apparent that while Jenna was living with Aaron, their relationship was not totally platonic. Meanwhile, Carla is at the hospital with Peter, who is sick with leukemia. The doctor informs them that the chemo is not working, but a bone marrow treatment can be quite affective. Carla meets with a medical claims offer who explains bone marrow treatment is not affective. However he insinuates that if Carla were to sleep with him, he could find a way to get her the money. Carla is thoroughly disgusted and calls Aaron to ask for money. Aaron says his assets have been frozen due to Pascale's paternity suit. Carla finally decides giving the claims officer what he wants may be the only way to save her husband. Contemplating what she is about to do, Carla receives a call from Aaron saying his assets are unfrozen and he has money they can borrow. Finally, Will learns the truth about Amy that she is the product of his and Samantha's tryst 11 years earlier.

Then he turns bully again resulting in Karl challenging him to a boxing match. Cameron and Zack host a party in Duncan's apartment when he's away but later suspects that Zack is lying about being Duncan's son and initiates her own DNA test. Terrance tells Lisbeth that he will get Duncan reinstated on the Reveal board if she marries him and stays away from Duncan.
- Zach is hospitalized at Bellevue after his suicide attempt. Reveal are at the center of a contaminated cosmetics scare and a prom event which drives Reveal's stock down. Duncan finds out that Terrance is buying up this stock when it dips. Duncan tells Lisbeth who doesn't believe him. James wants the office to know that he and Katie are an item but Katie wants to keep it secret. A co-worker Kevin finds out and tries to blackmail James. Marla confirms she is pregnant and lies to Karl that it is not his baby. Brody agrees to represent baseball star Gary Gregg but his representation drives a wedge in his marriage to Janelle. Elsewhere, Duncan becomes attracted to Valerie Cerritas. Zack escapes from Bellevue and approaches Terrance.

Elsewhere, Marla and Karl tell Wendy that they had an affair and she kicks both of them out. They go to extreme lengths to win her back and eventually succeed. She then tells Karl that she is also pregnant. Duncan receives a copy of an article on Terrance's death from Zack with a note asking "Are you proud of me now, Dad?"
- Duncan goes out of his way to land Riko Mara as Reveal's agent spokes-model but finds that Terrance has bought up seats on the board of Reveal thwarting his plans. Brody and Janelle spice up their lives with alter egos. Cameron tells Duncan that Zack is not his son. Zack tries to win Duncan back by exposing Terrance's affair with a stripper but Duncan tells him he cannot trust him. Lisbeth and Terrance get married and Katie and James get together as a couple. Zack breaks into Duncan's apartment when he is at the wedding and drinks and takes tranquilizers and is found unconscious by Duncan when he returns.
