While the townsfolk eagerly listen to the Mayor announce the official decision of their Olympic bid, Death has come to town in the form of a bike riding Drifter. Following the Olympic announcement, Death takes its first victim in Shuckton.

Being breaking news, the local news team arrive on the scene, however without their regular camera person Shaye, and their regular on-air reporter Corrinda Gablechuck, both of who are indisposed. Filling in for Corrinda is Heather Weather, the on-air weather girl. This situation brings to the forefront Heather's professional intentions and her professional limitations. Approaching the funeral, Marnie tries to talk Ricky into attending, although Ricky doesn't think the Mayor would have wanted him there because of their past history. Eventually, the police think they've found the murderer with blood on his hands. But Death has another Shuckton resident as his next target.
- 2010– 22mTV-MA7.3 (50)TV EpisodeThe trial of Crim for the murder of Larry Bowman will soon get underway, with the lawyers on both sides making preparations. Crim's lawyer, Sam Murray, has other more pressing issues on his mind. Orchestrated by Heather for her own professional and personal gains, news of Corrinda's pregnancy spreads throughout Shuckton. Despite not wanting a child, the one person who does not seem phased by the news is the father, Shaye. And Marilyn takes over her new duties as the Mayor of Shuckton. When Marilyn learns what the Green Committee entries in Larry's day planner are, Marilyn believes she has a new suspect for Larry's murder. As Heather's murder is deemed similar to Larry's and possibly done by the same person, some question Crim's guilt for Larry's murder, Crim's trial which is still proceeding and he who was in custody at the time of Heather's death. With the trial, Dusty provides some testimony which inadvertently jeopardizes his much wanted and unknown alone time with the deceased Larry. Death reveals why he has been after Ricky. Another on the list is Crim, who has been tried and convicted of Larry's murder. With Marilyn and the judge's reinstatement of the death penalty within Shuckton, Crim is scheduled to be executed, the event which Marilyn plans on using as an economic development tool. But with Marnie and Ricky's evidence of the murder weapon in hand, Larry's real murderer confesses. But before Death leaves town, he receives an unusual request from one Shucktonite, and another Shucktonite decides to take the matter of his own eternal future into his own hands.
- Inspector Diane Caligra of the Toronto Police Department is in somewhat of a conundrum. Detective Aidan Black, who currently is assigned to the SWAT team, is one of her best and most seasoned members, but she realizes based on his recent professional history and behavior, that he may be suffering from some mental illness, most likely post traumatic stress syndrome. She reassigns him to the newly formed Psych Crimes & Crises unit, which will deal with cases which involve some sort of emotional disturbance at its core. The unit was created by forensic psychiatrist Dr. Daniella Ridley, who will become his partner despite she not being a trained police officer. The other two members of the unit are the eager but inexperienced Detective Poppy Wisnefski, and tough but caring psychiatric nurse Leo Beckett. The two teams are to patrol when not working on a specific case. That first case is of Toby Burke, an aspiring hockey player who was murdered in the bedroom that he shared with his younger brother, Wyatt Burke, who was also in the room at the time of the incident. Toby died of a stab wound to his mid-section, but had a light bulb sticking out of that wound. Beyond the differences in opinions and approaches between Aidan and Daniella, they have to figure out if Toby's seemingly distraught father, Garrett Burke, knows more than he is disclosing, and figure out if there is some significance to the light bulb. Through this case, Aidan realizes that Diane had ulterior motives for placing him on this assignment despite the less than obvious fit: she wants Daniella to watch over him and provide her with a medical diagnosis of his mental condition.
- Psych Crimes and Crises is sent to the De Soto home, where single father, bipolar lawyer Mike De Soto, is outside wielding a collection of weapons. On a manic and seemingly psychotic rampage, he believes that someone is out to kill him and his teen-aged son, Nick. Mike's shirt is blood soaked, and Nick is eventually found inside unconscious from an apparent fall down the stairs. Nick is otherwise unharmed meaning that they have to find the probable dead body associated with that blood. They eventually do find the body, that of college student Sophie Ann Wells, a girl with a troubled past but who was turning her life around. Her wounds are consistent with the range of weapons Mike was wielding, but her body was placed in such a way showing that her killer had affection for her. The unit has to discover Mike's connection to Sophie to determine if he or someone else killed her. It is made all the more difficult as Mike is unable to provide any information until he comes down from his extreme manic state. Through this case, Daniella discovers where she is on the career spectrum between her psychiatrist past and police officer future.
- Psych Crimes and Crises is sent to an elementary school where eleven year old Blessing Byers, constantly bullied by her classmates, has just beaten several of them with a baseball bat in a manic rage after their latest torment. On this day, she has scrawled several words on herself, most with religious overtones, the most prominent being the word "truth" on her forehead. As she seems to have a fear of the police, Aidan and Daniella try to portray themselves as anything but. They want to do a psychological assessment as something is obviously troubling her, but her single mother, Marcy Byers, also seems suspicious of authority in general and does not allow it. The team finds that the Byers, which also includes a younger daughter Eve (Marcy's older daughter Shauna, apparently died a few years earlier) have led a nomadic life the past five years, moving from motel to motel after selling their house. An incident that evening leads the team to believe that Marcy has passed onto Blessing whatever emotional issue she herself is facing, as that incident on the surface is a shared psychotic delusion between mother and daughter. One person may be able to assist in uncovering what Marcy and Blessing are facing, which in turn they hope will lead to salvation most specifically for Blessing. Meanwhile, Aidan speaks to an in-house psychologist about his own emotional issues. And Daniella reconsiders her agreement with Diane regarding reporting to her about Aidan.
- Psych Crimes and Crises investigates a young black man seemingly high wandering the streets clad only in his boxer shorts. Aidan recognizes him as Billy Russell, one half of the famed band, Saturn 66. They are able to coax him into custody. When Billy comes down from his high, Billy admits to Daniella that he is bipolar, and that he sometimes goes off his meds, but that his Saturn 66 band mate, Max Graves, and his doctor, Evandra Lewis, who travels with the band, keep him in check from hurting himself or others. This relationship with Max is despite their very public and often contentious professional feuds. After they release Billy into Dr. Lewis' care, Aidan and Daniella are called to a disturbance, that disturbance which involves Max as the target. A now missing Billy is pegged as one of the prime suspects in what happened to Max. Beyond the incident with Max, Psych Crimes have to find Billy, whose disappearance may be linked to threatening emails he has been receiving of late, to Dr. Lewis, who may not be all she appears on the surface, and/or to the unknown woman who is believed to be Billy's muse and one true love.
- Aidan and Daniella are called to investigate the case of a delusional homeless man named Jeremy who believes he was attacked by a werewolf. At the scene, they come across another man, who they believe is Jeremy's attacker, violently beating on a car with a crowbar, with a dead man next to the car and a scared young woman inside. But whatever emotional issue Aidan is facing makes him lose focus for a few seconds, leading to the attacker being able to escape. Because of Aidan's lapse at the scene, Caligra brings in Liz, Aidan's old girlfriend who he still loves, to work on the case, which may be an issue mostly for Aidan. The young woman in the car is realtor Erin Laswell, whose boss was the dead man next to the car. Although she didn't know the man attacking her car, a later incident at her house leads to Aidan and Daniella believing there must be some connection between the two. They have to find the attacker to find out what that connection is. Meanwhile, Erin pursues Aidan romantically. He is attracted to her in return, and finds it difficult to resist her romantic pursuit, especially in his emotional state, despite he knowing that it is not the best idea from a professional perspective. But further evidence Daniella uncovers could lead to the case taking on a whole new dimension.
- Psychiatrist Dr. Karl Karzik is seriously injured when he is involved in a hit and run. He, who survives, believes it was no accident as he was scheduled to speak at a hearing involving his client, Mandar Kush, who was deemed not mentally fit to stand trial into the brutal murder eleven years earlier of Peter Fong, but he who admitted to the killing. Dr. Karzik had received a death threat not to appear at the hearing, especially if that hearing resulted in Kush being released. Daniella, who knows of the case but not Kush himself, volunteers to take over that psychiatric assessment of Kush for the hearing which is to determine if Kush is indeed now mentally well and if he can be released if the murder was due to his mental illness. Many of her colleagues want to see Kush remain in custody, as they believe Kush is playing the system. They however still need to find who tried to kill Dr. Karzik, that perpetrator with who they can sympathize. The leading suspects seem to be: Sal Lenza, the arresting officer; Roman Fong, Peter Fong's brother; Arun Kush, Mandar Kush's son who doesn't want his father to "come home"; and Joseph Podolski, a vigilante crusader. Through this case, Aidan has to deal with his emotions due to his most recent sexual encounter with Liz.
- Psych Crimes and Crises is brought in to investigate a seemingly schizophrenic homeless teenager who has with him who he has mentioned was an abandoned baby girl. He, who is covered in blood due to fighting injuries, will not give her up and he is wielding a makeshift razor-type weapon to ensure no one takes the baby away from him. Aidan and Daniella want to provide some medical attention to the boy both for his physical and mental issues, while securing the baby and returning her to her family, where ever they may be. Upon closer inspection, the boy is not schizophrenic, but has Tourette Syndrome, which he appears not to know or therefore understand. Aidan and Daniella have to make him understand the nature of Tourette's, which hopefully will ease his mind about giving up the baby. In the team's investigation of finding the family, they are led to a fifteen year old cold case. The mother contacts them via telephone, her nature which Daniella diagnoses as post-partum psychosis, which means she could harm both herself and the baby in her current state. They too have to convince her that medical treatment could help her over her current issues, as she has threatened to abscond with the baby. This case touches both Aidan and Daniella personally, but in different ways.
- The coroner's inquest into the school bus incident where Aidan shot the perpetrator Dominik Laszlo dead, Laszlo's knife in the process which in turn killed student Jason Beckmire, is approaching, the inquest despite Aidan having been previously absolved of any wrongdoing in the incident. Aidan's cavalier attitude toward the inquest, including refusing to have any meaningful dialogue with his police association appointed lawyer Juvina Kapoor, is his way of trying to put the incident behind him emotionally. Kapoor is worried because the crown attorney, Marcela Houseman, seems to be using tactics of an ambush against Aidan, despite Aidan not being on trial. Those tactics include providing a revised and unusual witness list at the last moment. Kapoor is correct in her assumption as Houseman proceeds to try and discredit Aidan, which if she succeeds may mean his career. Through the process, the relationship between Aidan and Daniella as well their relationship with others in their professional life may be forever altered. Meanwhile, Poppy is concerned about her police officer father, who has become increasingly confused of late, which Leo implies may be the onset of Alzheimer's. While she tries to figure out what is going on with her father, which she does against his wishes, she struggles with trying to protect him and his career against the possible danger to the public if he continues to work as a cop.
- Aidan is having trust issues with both Caligra but most specifically Daniella following the revelation during the inquest that Daniella was reporting to Caligra on his on-the-job behavior. Daniella knows what she did was wrong, especially as she respects her partner, but doesn't know how to rectify the situation, nor does she know how to deal with Sean, for who she has lost all respect and who will probably continue to work with the unit. The Aidan/Daniella situation affects the entire unit as they partner with Sex Crimes in trying to apprehend who has been coined the Riverdale Rapist, a serial rapist with four known victims, each attacked while they were sleeping in their own home. Included among the rapist's MO is the fact that he leaves a set of plush toys at the crime scene. The latest victim is able to provide key information as this incident is the first time the rapist has spoken to any of his victims during the act. This information leads to the units focusing their investigation on neighborhood contractors, who can blend into the background without much notice. But when a fifth victim emerges, the units believe they may be dealing with two different rapists, as the key suspect in that fifth rape doesn't mesh with the profile of the other four.
- Aidan still isn't sleeping, which may be affecting his reasoning. He and Daniella are called to the ice rink to deal with Terry Dwyer, an ex-NHL-er whose hockey career ended because of his violent tendencies, which have just resurfaced during a pick-up game where he violently beat an opposing player. Terry is in slight denial about his problem despite he realizing it is negatively affecting his life, especially his marriage. That's why Aidan and Daniella aren't happy when they later learn that he is working as a snitch for Organized Crime Detective Rachel Fenton in return for making a stolen property charge go away. Specifically, Terry is working as an enforcer for low level but rising organized crime boss Joe Lucas, who is Fenton's target. Aidan and Daniella are unsure if Terry is emotionally equipped to handle the dichotomy between his generally humane nature against the intentional violence associated with his work with Joe. If he's not equipped to handle it, it could lead to tragic consequences for Terry and those around him. Meanwhile, Caligra and Liette ask Leo, whose job is already negatively affecting his marriage, to do something against his personal nature: go undercover as a prisoner to see if another prisoner who possibly committed a murder is faking his psychiatric problems.
- Psych Crimes and Crises is asked to assist on the case of a $1.5 million diamond heist at a small jewelry store, the diamonds which were part of a regular shipment and which were yet as uninsured by the jeweler. They are involved because an eyewitness, who encountered the four balaclava clad robbers, stated that she was assaulted by one of them, who acted like something had spooked him which resulted him shooting randomly in the air. Based on the surveillance footage of the actual robbery and the eyewitness statement, they believe the robbery was conducted by ex-military men, while Daniella and Daniella alone believes the one spooked man suffers from PTSD from his time in combat. Their initial suspect is the one and only ex-military personnel with who the jeweler had regular contact, Jesse Powell, a former driver with the armored car company the jeweler used. Upon meeting Powell, they can see that he does suffer from an extreme case of PTSD, probably too advanced a case to function in a robbery of this nature, and he does have an airtight alibi, but he probably knows more about the robbery than he lets on. Aidan decides to use an unethical method to find out more information on this case, which in turn could benefit his own issue with what he has thus far refused to acknowledge as his own PTSD. The unit hopes they will be able to convince Jesse to access medical help in the process. Aidan's problems have thus far prevented him from pursuing a personal relationship with Detective Fenton. And Daniella, without telling her colleagues even about the issue, goes on a secret mission to find out what happened to the child she gave up for adoption.
- The police are alerted to the murder of college professor Oscar Wallace after his nine year old daughter Olivia Wallace is spotted in a near comatose state in her pajamas hiding under a bench in the subway station. Oscar is found in the Wallace home with both his arms snapped, presumably done pre-mortem to inflict as much pain as possible. At the time of the murder, Oscar's wife and Olivia's mother, Esme Belk-Wallace, a high profile global human rights lawyer, was away on an extended business trip to Africa, she who returned the day Oscar is found. With Oscar and Esme's respective busy schedules, Esme's brother, Elliott Belk, who recently reentered their lives, often acted as Olivia's caregiver. Esme believes the murder was because of her work, as she and the family have received many death threats over the years because of it. But when Psych Crimes and Crises discovers that Oscar had hired a private detective, they believe that Esme's personal life as opposed to her professional life resulted in Oscar's death, and that she isn't disclosing everything she knows about the murder. They have to find out the exact nature of the P.I.'s work to support their theory. But as they get closer to discovering the identity of the killer and the motive, they may all be in danger. This case marks the first time since the inquest that Aidan may again trust Daniella, which she in return may need more than ever.
- In dealing with their latest case, the unit is officially but temporarily down one person as Daniella has taken a personal leave to meet her son who she gave up for adoption years ago. That case is of an armed robbery of personal possessions and meds in a psych ward at St. Stephen's by a masked man, who took one of the ward patients, a young woman named Emily Froese who is bipolar, hostage. The unit is provided unofficial assistance on the case by Dr. Clara Malone, the psychiatrist on duty when the masked man committed his crime. Upon questioning Clara on what happened and Poppy and Leo finding some evidence outside, Aidan surmises that the robbery was a front for the man's true purpose, which was to abduct Emily, she who seemingly was in on the plot. In looking at Emily's troubled case file, they also surmise that the masked man was Emily's boyfriend, Nolan Arthur, an ex-con who was in prison for some of those violent crimes listed in Emily's case file. In looking at Emily and Nolan's past life together and as individuals, which includes Emily estrangement from her family who had her committed because of those violent incidents some against them, the unit will have to find clues as to where Nolan and Emily are hiding out, and what their ultimate end goal is. Through it, Clara, much like Daniella before her, may find that getting involved in police matters has its own set of protocols unfamiliar to her, those protocols which she may decide to break in an effort to help. By the end of the case, Daniella makes a decision about her future.
- The team heads to Kensington Market where a grocery store owner, Idaris John, is slashed several times, he being a beloved figure in the neighborhood. The wounds end up being non-life threatening. Psych Crimes and Crises is involved because Idaris suffers from a rare neurological condition called, in layman terms, face blindness, where he cannot recognize faces, and as such he will not be able to identify his attacker. Upon further discussion with Idaris' doctor, Dr. Paul Bruckman, they learn that Idaris is also in the early stages of Alzheimer's despite being only in his early forties. Despite no accurate eyewitness accounts beyond the attacker yelling "I know you" - leading to Aidan believing the attack was personally motivated - and being a black man, the team is able to quickly identify the attacker as Benjamin Omari, a refugee from the Congo. In checking his refugee file, they find a photograph of Benjamin as a young teen in the Congo with a man looking like Idaris, but who is identified in the photograph as Melugo, who is wanted in the Congo for war crimes. They have to find out if Idaris and Melugo are one and the same which if so means that this attack was probably not a victimless crime. They also would have to find out how Idaris has been able to masquerade for four years as having this neurological condition under doctor care, the condition which would prevent him from being deported back to the Congo. Meanwhile, Aidan finds that he of late has needed his group PTSD therapy sessions, which may come in handy as well for others entering his life.
- Psych Crimes and Crises' next case is investigating a bomb explosion at the home of sixty-seven year old Ed Janoski. Of the psychological issues Ed faces, chief amongst them may be his persecution complex, mostly against Damian Tremblay, self-coined as the "Condo Czar". Ed's house is located next to Tremblay's latest high rise condo complex under construction. Tremblay had tried to purchase Ed's house for "phase 2" of the complex, he who refused to sell. His refusal to sell placed him not only in a bad situation with Tremblay, who has the reputation of getting what he wants at any cost, but also all Ed's other neighbors who wanted to sell but the properties which Tremblay won't buy unless he can get them all. Ed is certain Tremblay is behind the widespread campaign of harassment against him, the bombing being only the latest issue, but which also includes continual death threats over the telephone, the voice being a computer altered one. Clara is worried that Ed will crack under the continual stress. But as that campaign continues, Ed, despite Aidan urging him not to take the law into his own hands and retaliate against Tremblay, may not heed the advice in his mental state. Meanwhile, Aidan's personal life is affected by something that happens to Caligra indirectly associated with the case.
- On the eve of the first anniversary of the school bus shooting, Aidan is not coping very well, which affects both his personal and professional life. The next case he and the team work on is the death of a twenty year old First Nations waitress named Ellen Owens. She was tortured and stabbed to death. Homicide and Caligra are certain that the seemingly crazy John Doe aboriginal man who carried her out of the woods is her killer, Caligra who wants to tie him to all the other recent female aboriginal deaths of late. The suspect only mumbles gibberish, but first Clara, then Aidan, then Leo, who all go to speak to him individually, can feel that he has a certain spiritual nature about him, and not that of a cold blooded killer. Circumstantial evidence they find, including why the suspect only speaks gibberish, seems to lead to the suspect not being the killer, but actually someone who tried to help Ellen. Aidan has a theory which the team follows. But Kaya Grey, Ellen's colleague at the truck stop diner where she worked, may know more about what's going on that she lets on, she who seems to have her own agenda in helping her "friends".
- When a schizophrenic young man living in the Rosedale Valley ravine is found murdered, Psych Crimes is called to a puzzling scene: the location has been cleaned and the body carefully posed. What starts out as a murder investigation becomes a quest to save a family and avert another disastrous outcome.
- Psych Crimes and Crises investigates the shooting death of Herman Strunk, the property manager of a group of tenements, whose residents are comprised primarily of those on welfare: drug addicts, the mentally ill and the down and out. He is generally disliked by the tenants, as he collected their welfare checks for rent before doling out the remainder - minus a kickback on occasion - back to the check addressee. A symbol - a stylized cross - was inked onto his abdomen post-mortem. Among the tenants is Mark Tisdale, who is not in medical care but knows that if he was would be diagnosed as schizophrenic. Clara learns that he hears voices telling him to do things, some of those voices which are chronically in his head and some which he hears only once or once in a while. He is in possession of the murder weapon, which he states is not his, which he did not use and which he was about to turn in. It was one of his voices which told him where he could find it. Beyond the gun, Mark seems to know a lot about the murder, that voice he states which is telling him that more deaths are about to happen that will make history. But the unit knows he could not have committed this killing as he has an airtight alibi. Clara wants to conduct a mental health assessment on him before making a determination. She uses new computer technology employing avatars to place faces and names to his voices so that he can control what he hears. But it is those that he can't control that may provide the biggest clue to why Mark knows so much about the murder, who committed it, and what may about to happen with regard to the further deaths. Meanwhile, Fenton heads to Ottawa for a job interview, the outcome which may place a hurdle in her and Aidan's relationship.
- Psych Crimes and Crises investigates the murder of mental health nurse Maya Henson who died from trauma to back of her head, the murder weapon deemed to be half sharp/half blunt. She was found by a morning jogger in a wooded area next to a residential subdivision characterized by cul-de-sacs. Although she dealt with potentially violent patients, she was found nowhere near any of her patient's homes, leading Aidan to believe that she was meeting someone of a personal nature in the neighborhood, perhaps a lover. All this news does not sit well with Leo, who knew Maya and Maya's husband, Brandon Doerkes, on a personal level for a long time. The information that officers and the team are able to get from canvassing the neighborhood leads Aidan to one homeowner, Timothy Lawton, just on a feeling and a hunch. They are able to find a connection between Maya and Lawton, who they also learn has a mental health history. But it's Lawton's relationship with a young woman named Isabelle Saunders and what Lawton has hidden in his basement which may provide the most insight. This case makes Leo look critically about his past relationship with Maya and Brandon, and it makes Poppy deal with her officer father's increasing dementia, which she has tried to dismiss as he only has eight months until retirement.
- The first case in which Clara participates as an official a member of Psych Crimes and Crises is a shooting at a nightclub, where the band playing was targeted. The reason the unit is involved is that they need to deal with the primary witness, Annika Marné, related to one of the critically wounded band members, as she is distraught over the situation and she suffers from an unknown anxiety disorder. They learn that she also suffers from agoraphobia - the symptoms exacerbated by being out at the nightclub. She is a former model, who dropped out of the business years ago, from what they learn was substance abuse issues. Since, she has led a reclusive life with no income, the only material possession of worth she currently owning being her lavish house. By reviewing surveillance footage, Aidan and Clara find that Annika looked directly at the shooter as the event unfolded, which may place her own life in danger if the shooter knows. But she claims that she didn't see the shooter. Aidan and Clara have differing opinions on whether Annika is telling the truth on this matter, and if not what she is hiding to protect the shooter. One suspect they have to locate is the band's regular drummer, Derek Tilson, who conveniently bypassed this gig which, if he had attended would have gotten him killed.
- Much to Marta's chagrin, Delmer is a huge fan of professional wrestling, he believing it to be a real sport. He finds kindred spirits in Tom and Chad, the latter who is the ringside announcer for the local franchise, Rodeo Roughhouse. Able to get ringside tickets from Chad, Tom and Delmer turn from spectators to potential participants when Chad informs them that they could form a tag team to replace Farmer Dan and the Pitchfork, who have just quit. Stoked by the idea, Tom and Delmer figure they are a natural team as a cowboy and the "I" word. Because of Marta's feelings about the "sport", Delmer doesn't want to tell her what he and Tom are doing, they wearing masks as part of their stage personae. Delmer may have a different agenda than what is written in the script. Meanwhile, Marta, Keltie and Wesley are working on the show's first exposé, and choose to expose professional wrestling for the fake that it is, Marta who doesn't want to tell Delmer about the exposé. Delmer and Marta at the same professional wrestling match without knowing the other will be there may have an interesting unscripted outcome.
- Marta's mother Esther is coming for a visit - she who has not yet visited Delmer and Marta in Morningside - which coincides with the annual Morningside Fair, Morning Days as it is affectionately called, which has as its mascot Chief Littlefoot, Marta and Esther who happen to be direct descendants of his. Delmer has always been scared of Esther who he believes does not like him. Both Tom and Creston believe they have a way to soften Esther's view of Delmer, those two ways which have mixed results. Meanwhile, Keltie seems to have something against fairs in general, especially the midway games. Lloyd helps her confront the very specific issue with which she is dealing.
- Delmer and Tom have been jamming at Delmer and Marta's, much to Marta's chagrin especially when they are doing it in the middle of the night impeding her sleep. It isn't until they find a percussionist in the form of drummer Lloyd that Delmer and Tom feel like they can finally perform at open mic night at the local bar. But in the band moving into the realm of the station, what Lloyd feared would happen, happens: Creston finds out. Creston and Lloyd were once in a band together, which disbanded in Creston taking control. True to what happened last time, Creston does take control of the band. The questions then become if the band can survive Creston, and if Delmer and Tom, the latter who is an emotional wreck at the best of times, recover to what they really wanted to achieve with the band in the first place. Meanwhile, Marta uses her own meditation methods to try and decompress from the late night jam sessions.
- Delmer and Marta get a shiny new couch. Creston gets nervous when Marta invites Delmer to do a traditional cooking segment with the Mayor.
- Lisa can't wait to tell her colleagues her exiting news, that she has got the more prestigious lead news anchor job with the All Women's Channel, that news which she divulges to them as soon as she knows, which is on the air on the newscast. Her excitement ends up being somewhat muted as her colleagues don't seem as sad about her leaving as she wants them to feel, as Creston immediately starts looking for her replacement, as her arch rival, Karen Redwood, seems to be the leading candidate to replace her, and as the public tribute from the station, which is being organized by Keltie, doesn't go quite the way she wants. Are any of these items in and of themselves or in combination enough for Lisa to regret her decision, and if they are is it too late for her to get her old job back? Meanwhile, Delmer, using indigenous methods, tries to help Chad find his mojo in being able to do the newscast on his own, either temporarily or permanently if he is able to convince Creston not to replace Lisa. And Delmer is never too sure when Marta mentions that she needs extra support, whether she is talking about emotional support from him, or physical support for her more than ample front side.
- It's the middle of winter, and budget cuts as a directive from network brass are the cause for some on-air snafus and twenty-three minutes of unscheduled off air time while staff dealt with those snafus. However, Creston has still managed to keep within this reduced budget an imminent trip for himself to a conference in warm and sunny Bora Bora. What Creston also learns is that the one thing the network will not allow him to cut from the budget is a staff retreat, not only in order to team build, but in order to make Creston a more effective manager especially in light of the reduced budget, as the facilitator, First Nations Takoda Calihoo, structures the retreat on the theme of the wolf pack and thus Creston being leader of that pack. Creston has to report back to network brass at the conference meaning that he will have to schedule the retreat for this weekend, about which most of the staff is not too happy in spending their free time together in freezing cold and isolated Fort Morningside, an old fur trading post. As the retreat progresses, they all find that what Takoda, Creston and the staff want out of the weekend are three totally different things. As such, the staff decides to band together to exact a small mutiny not only get what they want out of the weekend, but to implement a more effective allocation of that reduced budget.
