All: Lana is the first exemplar of the perennial "LL" theme in Superman's life (see, "Lex Luthor," "Lois Lane," etc.) By far the most popular undertaking of the role has been by Kristin Kreuk in the TV series "Smallville." In a bit of insider casting, Annette O'Toole, who plays Clark's adoptive mother Martha Kent in the same series, was cast as Lana opposite the late Christopher Reeve in the film "Superman III."

Smallville: Lana Lang was three years old when both her parents were killed in the meteor shower, leaving her to live with her aunt Nell. She has had many "Wall of Weird" moments. One includes being on the property while a gas line blew and kryponite caused her to have visions of Chloe being kidnapped that proved true.
